After exiting Mushroomhead in 2015, vocalist Waylon Reavis nearly stepped away from the music industry altogether. However, he soon experienced a creative rebirth, forming A Killer's Confession as a brand-new vessel for his intense, narrative-driven lyricism. The band's current core lineup consists of Reavis (lead vocals) alongside JP Cross (bass), Richard "Stitch" Thomas (keyboards/vocals), and Sean Heenan (drums). From its inception, the band's aesthetic and sound have explored dark, gritty themes. While early releases set the groundwork, the band found its true artistic identity with the launch of their Victim universe—a series of stories and records focused on a vigilante dealing with "bad guys". Their aggressive, high-production sound features massive hooks, programming, and dramatic guitar work.
