ESCUELA GRIND:
Escuela Grind is a band that plays brutal death grind music with politically charged lyrics inspired by modern anxieties and the roots of hardcore punk, grindcore, and power violence. The band's members are Katerina Economou (vocals), Jesse Fuentes (Kill the Client, Creator|Destroyer), Jason Balthazar Eldridge (Hearse), and Kris Morash (Your Brain on Drugs). Although they come from different parts of the United States, the band has been based in upstate New York and western Massachusetts since 2016.
Escuela Grind's music is heavy and angry, and their message is one of empowerment. They attack the idea of "gatekeeping" and fight against the snobbery that's often present in extreme counterculture. Some say that Escuela Grind is part of a growing choir of voices in the metal world that's tearing down walls and revitalizing the genre for a new wave of fans.
